The last couple of weeks have been so incredibly busy and blessed. My beautiful daughter Heather graduated Cum Laude from UNT with a bachelors in Science/Psychology and a minor in women studies. Her college thesis is being published by American Psychology Association and she gets to fly to Chicago to present it in March. Of course, this very proud mama is going with her to cheer her on. Could I get any more blessed than that? Why, yes! Brian was blessed with a good raise in a year where a lot of people are getting laid off. Priase God for his provision!!! Chris is going back to school in January..another prayer answered....I don't know why he wants to look in peoples mouths all day as a hygentis, but I guess someone has to do that job. GROSS. Melissa finished up another sselect softball season playing first base and right field some of those games were so cold I thought we would die. But that is what moms do for their kids. Maybe I might win that Mother of the Year award after all...LOL.
We went Saturday with Phil and Cathy to Prestonwood Baptist Gloria Concert and it was absolutely amazing. They had drummers come out of the sky, dancers, John Tesch and some of the most beautiful music I have ever heard. 500 person choir just lets me get a brief glimpse of what heaven will be like. AMAZING. Today, I am baking my little heart out. I am making an angel birthday cake for someone special and a Christmas cake to take to our Celebrate Recovery step study Christmas party. Hopefully, my neck will hold out today. I went to dr yesterday and got on more steriods and pain killers, I have aggrevated some herniated disks in my neck....OUCH!
My name is Tammy and I live in Texas with my wonderful husband Brian and have three children Heather 29 Chris 27 and Mel 20. So many people have told me I could write a book about my life so I am choosing to blog about it. I hope some of Tammy's Tales make you laugh. I am also an avid reader and belong to a website called Shelfari and I join reading challenges throughout the year so I will blog about that to.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving, complete with all the fixings, family, friends and Brian being sick as a dog. Poor guy was too sick to really enjoy the food I felt so bad for him for it tasted awesome. We had stome friends come over to play games and we now know that I can kick rear in the game Fact or Crap...LOL
My friend Wendy and I braved the Black Friday sales we got up at O'dark thirty and first stop was Walmart. I have never seen such chaos in my life as the aisles were packed no carts getting through...so I planted Wendy in the electronics isle and I took of on foot on my conquest for the best deals. I ran back and forth to get items and brought them back to the cart and with direction from my commrade I ran out again for the next quest. I kind of felt like I was in World of Warcraft game...LOL. We conquered Walmart in under a mere 2.5 hours...not bad huh? Yeah right. We shopped for a complete 12 hours and came home and died from exhaustion. But we got some good deals and we had a great time together so that is what really matters. And I am almost finished with my shopping I have stocking stuffers and just a few items left...it beats the Christmas Eve rush I am used too.
Today, I had the honor of teaching on stage in Pre-teens at church. I have to admit I wasn't nervous until I got on the stage and the spotlight was on me. But after the first 15 mins I settled into it and I think the kids had a good time and learned about how to plug into Gods power through the Holy Spirit. I had a great time teaching them Romans 3:23 in sign language and I know they had a fun learning it. I am excited to be used by God to teach these kids about the love of God and how to spread that love to others.
Unfortantely, I now have the same virus Brian had on Thanksgiving..darn it, but at least it waited until after I had good food and my first time teaching. Praise God for that good fortune.
Until next time....blessings.

Blessings.
Today I recieved a call from an old friend and I was so blessed by the conversation. It reminds me to stay in touch with those family and friends that I love. Time flies and I know I get busy, but I need to remember that God made us for relationships.
This weeks BSF lesson was amazing!! It really is wonderful to read in the old testiment and realize just how orderly God was and how much He loves us. I was able to see the ten commandments in a whole new way this week, by really studying them and seeing just what God was telling me on each one of them. How short I have fallen on some of them, but how amazing is His grace and mercy.
Thanksgiving is right around the corner and I love this time of year. Good food, family, games, putting up the tree and Christmas music starts. Woohoo. I am exicted!!

New Day.
Wow, today in Texas it is windy and a little chilly for September. We are getting the remnants of Gustav and it feels great. I hope it rains we need it so badly.
Our family is going through a big change the last couple of weeks and it has been stressful and burdensome. We are currently looking for a new church home and my daughter is really hurting by this. She hates leaving her youth group, but it has to be done and it kills my heart to see her so upset by this. I know God is going to lead us to just the right youth group for her and the right church home for us. I hope we can all heal from this pain we are all feeling and Gods name will be glorified through all of this chaos. I know God has us in the palm of His hand and He will direct and guide us on the path of righteousness.
I will be driving down to Houston on Friday for another team meeting for SETTD and I am so excited to see what God is going to show me during this time. It will be nice to spend some time with some of my friends down there and be around some good people. It will do my spirit some good I am sure of that.
Praying for all the people of New Orleans and other areas devastated by hurricane Gustav. May God reach down and touch each of you with His love, compassion and strength.
